What began as a "Fall Roundup" more than three decades ago has evolved into the community's largest celebration in support of Sharp Grossmont Hospital. More than 500 physicians, prominent community and business leaders, donors and corporate sponsors enjoy an evening of live and silent auctions, dining, entertainment and dancing in support of East County’s only not-for-profit hospital.
Our past 34th Annual Gala (on 10-19-19) benefitted the David and Donna Long Center for Cancer Treatment at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Built in 1991, the cancer center is undergoing a remodel to accommodate new technology and increase patient privacy. Gala proceeds supported these enhancements and help expand patient support services to best meet the needs of our community.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Gala. Thank you to our generous donors who have continued to support Grossmont Hospital Foundation during these difficult times and to our fabulous planning committee. We hope to see you next year when we can safely gather and celebrate!

Over the past 35 years, Grossmont Hospital Foundation's annual gala has raised nearly $3 million for patient services and programs at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, including:

Surgical robotics with the addition of the new Intuitive Si robotic system for minimally invasive surgery and state-of-the-art technology

Cardiovascular services with the continued development and construction of the new Heart and Vascular Center

Cancer, emergency, wound care, women's health and endoscopy services
